One of my favorite “plunder” (aka ‘live lurking but may post occasionally at the check out”) stores is the General Dollar. As I “scrolled up and down” the aisles to admire the new holiday decorations (most were not a dollar), I happened upon a neon orange with bold black SALE sign. Nothing like a sale at the dollar store, so I google-eyed the display. “I Love God” marked over a print of sweet children kneeling in prayer stamped on assorted dollarish items like mittens, pencil cases, note pads, plastic tumblers, socks, headbands and knit caps. “2 for $1.00” they were marked.
I walked away snorking to myself, this is not what I want to buy dozens of to send to the troops in Iraq to pass out to the Iraqi children. My bad. Ctl-alt-dlt.
