But that’s okay, we have our survival kit ready……recipe follows…

Hot Toddy Time !

1 stick real butter, softened
6 tablespoons packed brown sugar
1/4 cup molasses or dark corn syrup
Rum
Boiling water
Whipped cream

~With back of a spoon, mash together butter, brown sugar and molasses in a small bowl until thoroughly mixed.

~Place 1 and 1/2 or 2 rounded teaspoons of mixture (or to taste) in a mug. Add 1 ounce of Rum, fill with boiling water, stirring until butter mixture has melted. Top with whipped cream.

~I prefer spiced rum and if in a hurry, just throw a teaspoon each of the butter,brown sugar and molasses in a mug, then add rum and boiling water. You can adjust to taste 🙂 Enjoy your toddy !
