WTF? Keith Olberman thinks he’s been a journalist? (via Not Your Sweetie)

WTF? Keith Olberman thinks he's been a journalist? Whatever gave anyone the impression KO was Obama's spokesman? This is a moment so rich with irony, it must be fattening. (added it to my Schadenfreude list The guy who named who said someone has to take Hillary in a room and only he comes out thinks he is not Obama's spokesperson. The guy who praised Obama as brave for voting for FISA for standing up to his base, thinks he is not an Obama operative. The guy who said Hillary wanted Obama assassina … Read More

Sarah’s Joe McGinniss ~ A Reality Troll ? Or a Stalker?

Guess who just moved next door to Sarah? Welcome to Wasilla Joe 🙂

You decide.

Though I do love the way Sarah Palin’s handling this:

Just When Ya Think It Can’t Get Any More “Interesting”… Welcome, Neighbor!

Spring has sprung in Alaska, and with this beautiful season comes the news today that the Palins have a new neighbor! Welcome, Joe McGinniss!

Yes, that Joe McGinniss. Here he is – about 15 feet away on the neighbor’s rented deck overlooking my children’s play area and my kitchen window. Maybe we’ll welcome him with a homemade blueberry pie tomorrow so he’ll know how friendly Alaskans are.

We found out the good news today. Upon my family’s return this morning from endorsement rallies and speeches in the Lower 48 states, I finally got the chance to tackle my garden and lawn this evening! So, putting on the shorts and tank top to catch that too-brief northern summer sun and placing a giddy Trig in his toddler backpack for a lawn-mowing adventure, I looked up in surprise to see a “new neighbor” overlooking my property just a stone’s throw away. Needless to say, our outdoor adventure ended quickly after Todd went to introduce himself to the stranger who was peering in…

Joe announced to Todd that he’s moved in right next door to us. He’s rented the place for the next five months or so. He moved up all the way from Massachusetts to live right next to us – while he writes a book about me. Knowing of his many other scathing pieces of “journalism” (including the bizarre anti-Palin administration oil development pieces that resulted in my Department of Natural Resources announcing that his work is the most twisted energy-related yellow journalism they’d ever encountered), we’re sure to have a doozey to look forward to with this treasure he’s penning. Wonder what kind of material he’ll gather while overlooking Piper’s bedroom, my little garden, and the family’s swimming hole?

Welcome, Joe! It’ll be a great summer – come borrow a cup of sugar if ever you need some sweetener. And you know what they say about “fences make for good neighbors”? Well, we’ll get started on that tall fence tomorrow, and I’ll try to keep Trig’s squeals down to a quiet giggle so we don’t disturb your peaceful summer. Enjoy!

Did Kitty Kelly move in next to Oprah ?

I didn’t think so. Watching YOU Joe. Enjoy your Alaska experience 🙂

“This Ain’t No Tea Party”

April 06, 2010 — Accuracy in Media covered a March 20 anti-war demonstration in Lafayette Square Park, across the street from the White House. AIM went there to see what sort of activity was occurring, and as we show in this video, which was all shot at the scene of the demonstration, it was a mix of 9/11 Truthers, Code Pinkers, socialists, anarchists, and a large contingency of pro-Hamas, anti-Israel zealots.

The Washington Post covered it, but never mentioned the name Obama, though he was clearly a target of the protesters. The group that organized the protest, International ANSWER, claims there were 10,000 people there. Our estimate: 2 – 3 thousand tops, at least prior to the marching part of the demonstration. We didn’t stick around for that part.

One thing for sure, no one burned an American flag at any Tea Party gatherings, but they sure did here. Did you see any reporting about the hate-speech and flag burning? I guess MSNBC was too busy that day.

Roseanne Barr and Joy Behar “diss-cuss” Sarah Palin

Thank goodness for Newsbusters who follows the leftybizzarro discussions in the old and new media so I don’t have too.

Here’s a snip from the transcript where Behar and Barr are coughing up lugies and grabbing their crotches while chatting up Gov. Palin. CNN calls this primetime newsworthy?

BARR: The only way a woman can make it in the right wing, or the conservative, whatever the hell you want to call it, Republican, is to be against all other women. And that is what she does.

BEHAR: I see.

BARR: So if me and you got her and we’d be like telling her the truth, we’d take her out to drink, we’d go like this: Now, you got to be for women, see? You’ve got to be for women. And I think we could turn her. I think she’s never really talked to a real feminist. And I think, you know, I think she’d — she’s not happy in her marriage.

BEHAR: How do you know?

BARR: Because you could tell.

BEHAR: Well, her faux-son-in-law says that they have separate bedrooms. I don’t know if it’s true or not.

BARR: Did you love the interview in Vanity Fair with that guy?

BEHAR: He told a lot of stuff, but you don’t know if it’s true or not.

BARR: You could tell it’s true she goes through her bedroom with the Star and the Enquirer for hours. She’s that kind of woman. She’s likable. That’s like us.

BEHAR: Yeah, we can relate to her.

You can read more of the interview here.

Sarah Palin stalked by rogue liberal media madwoman

Thank goodness for security.

See C4P for more book tour coverage, videos, news items and trip reports. No security needed !

Speaking of C4P, HillBuzz is excited about working with them on the Clinton/Palin Consensus Series in anticipation of a Coffee Summit in the future. Wouldn’t that be fun 🙂

Update: Young fan ambushed by Norah O’Donnell and writes a diary about the experience. What is up with these nasty NBC people?

You can read her diary here.

Olbermann to Kossacks – Send me everything you can find on Glenn Beck !!

It’s ON !

Keith’s post at Daily Kos:

I don’t know why I’ve got this phrasing in my head, but: Find everything you can about Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes.

No, even now, I refuse to go all caps.

No, sending me links to the last two Countdowns with my own de-constructions of his biblical vision quality Communist/Fascist/Socialist/Zimbalist art at Rockefeller Center (where, curiously, he works, Comrade) doesn’t count. Nor does sending me links to specious inappropriate point-underscoring prove-you’re-innocent made-up rumors.

Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes’ power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony “truce” push).

This becomes necessary after this in order to prove various cliches about goose and gander, and to remind everybody to walk softly and carry a big popsicle, and most particularly to save this nation from the Oligarhy of The Stupid.

I keep wondering if somewhere somebody named Ollie Garhey thinks he’s in charge now. Or, even more entertainingly and societally satisfying, if somebody named Ali Garhi does.

Despite the worn-out snark above, I am in earnest here.

Ok, I’m lazy, so I used wiki to get Keith started on his kill the messenger campaign:

Beck was born in Mount Vernon, Washington in February 1964, and raised a Roman Catholic. His mother and one of his brothers committed suicide and a sibling had a fatal heart attack.[3] He graduated from Sehome High School in Bellingham, Washington in 1982.

A 2007 profile in “LDS Living” magazine provides a comprehensive history of Beck’s early life and career in radio, and states that his first significant exposure to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints came at age 18 when, after graduating from high school, he moved from Washington to Salt Lake City, Utah and shared an apartment with a former Mormon missionary. The article goes on to say that his first marriage ended in divorce at age 30 (1994). He and his second wife, Tania, joined the church in October 1999, partly at the urging of his eldest daughter, Mary, who has cerebral palsy.[4]

Beck was admitted to a special program for non-traditional students at Yale University while he was working for a New Haven-area radio station, having received at least one of his recommendations from Senator Joe Lieberman. During this time Beck took a single theology class, dropping out around the time of his divorce.[5]

Beck is a self-described recovering alcoholic and drug addict.[6] He also has a diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. [7] He and his first wife divorced amid his struggle with substance abuse. Beck cites the help of Alcoholics Anonymous in his sobriety, and he eventually converted to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints,[8] which teaches against the consumption of alcohol.

By his first marriage, Beck has two teenage daughters, Hannah and Mary. With his second wife, Tania, he has two children, Raphe and Cheyenne. He is currently a resident of New Canaan, Connecticut, where, in May of 2008, Beck applied for a special permit to place a six foot wall around his home citing “security concerns” and “angry audiences.”[9]

So much more on the web, love him or hate him, Glenn is brutally honest about his past. It’s part of his addiction recovery and so much more than we know about the Obamas 🙂

For Glenn, yet another of my corny youtubey inspirations, enjoy:

We have your back !
