~Memorial Day 2010~ God Bless Our Troops and America!

via Sarah Palin’s Facebook page

“It is the veteran, not the preacher, who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the veteran, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the veteran, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the veteran, not the campus organizer, who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the veteran, not the lawyer, who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the veteran, not the politician, who has given us the right to vote.

It is the veteran, who salutes the flag, who serves under the flag, and whose coffin will be draped by the flag.”

Remember November ! (video)

Hell yeah.

And always a good discussion at Hot Air, allahpundit writes:

A dynamite little piece of expressionism from Haley Barbour and the Republican Governors Association, aimed at synthesizing the mood of angry grassroots would-be donors. The message is familiar, but between the HD, the F/X, and the editing, the production values are light years ahead of the usual DNC/RNC crap. If they’re looking to get attention, this’ll help.

Hampton Roads Tea Party – April 15, 2010 (video)

A beautiful day on the Norfolk, Virginia waterfront to celebrate love of country and her people. This video captured the American Rover leaving the harbor blowing her horn as shipboard guests were yelling approval to the crowd. And do listen to excerpts of the inspiring words of Bishop E.W. Jackson’s words of history, faith and why we were all there. Enjoy the patriotic spirit of Hampton Roads !!

April 15, 2010-Tea Party Activists gather at Town Point Park in Norfolk, Virginia to protest the government’s reckless spending and misuse of the people’s money. The peaceful yet charged civic event attracted social patriots from all over the Hampton Roads region of Virginia.

Unlike my former buddies on the left, the tea party does have a sense of humor too….Why yes, I’m proud to be a teabagger !

“America Rising – An Open Letter to Democratic Party Politicians”

What better way to kick-off 2010 ! Yes we will take our country back :)))

We elected you on a promise of hope and change. You’ve disappointed us. In 2010, we are taking the country back. Blue collar democrats, independents, and conservatives. We love our country. We are proud of our founders. And we will fight to protect our traditions. We don’t want your revolution.

Auld Lang Syne ~ Sex and the City Style :)

Happy New Year 2010 ! Fans of the SATC movie will enjoy these scenes:

With thanks to Huffington Post for a little history of “Old Long Since”

Auld Lang Syne lyrics are necessary for those who hope to ring in 2010 with an age-old tradition. The meaning and history of this New Year’s Eve song, traditionally played and sung as midnight strikes, are also fascinating.

Auld Lang Syne is a Scottish poem, thought to be composed by Scottish poet and lyricist Robert Burns in 1788. It is sung to the traditional folk tune Roud 6294.

It is well known across the English-speaking world and has long been associated with New Year’s celebrations, commonly played after people watch the ball drop. Auld Lang Syne literally translates to “Old Long Since,” and more roughly it means “long, long ago” or “days gone by.”

And you can sing-along tonight !

Here is the English-translated version of the Auld Lang Syne lyrics:

Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and never brought to mind ?
Should old acquaintance be forgot,
and old lang syne ?

For auld lang syne, my dear,
for auld lang syne,
we’ll take a cup of kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.
And surely you’ll buy your pint cup !
and surely I’ll buy mine !
And we’ll take a cup o’ kindness yet,
for auld lang syne.

We two have run about the slopes,
and picked the daisies fine ;
But we’ve wandered many a weary foot,
since auld lang syne.

We two have paddled in the stream,
from morning sun till dine† ;
But seas between us broad have roared
since auld lang syne.

And there’s a hand my trusty friend !
And give us a hand o’ thine !
And we’ll take a right good-will draught,
for auld lang syne.

Harry Reid CAN be sent packing in 2010 ! Support Sue Lowden!

No offense Harry, I never did like you and your union thugs back in Nevada, and I especially hate that you lead the Senate with a lack of cajones and spine. You are now helping our country circle the drain for political payback. Had enough?

Meet Sue Lowden:

…..and she’s spanking Harry Reid nine ways to Christmas !
