The “28th Amendment” ? Hmmm, Hmmm, Hmmm

Had enough?

Angry Mob @Simpsons

Sometimes it’s worth opening a FWD’d email, you might just learn something ! The Snopes rebuttal follows.

Keep this message close and remember we vote again in less than 11 months!!!

28TH Amendment of {Our} U.S. Constitution

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the
United States.”
Take a look at this and just remember elections in Nov. 2010.

U.S. House & Senate have voted themselves $4,700 and $5,300 raises.

1. They voted to not give you a S.S. Cost of living raise in 2010 and 2011.
2. Your Medicaid premiums will go up $285.60 for the 2-years and
You will not get the 3% COLA: $660/yr. Your total 2-yr loss and cost is
-$1,600 or -$3,200 for husband and wife.
3. Over 2-yr’s they each get $10,000
4. Do you feel SCREWED?
5. Will they have your cost of drugs – doctor fees – local taxes – food, etc., increase?
NO WAY .. They have a raise and better benefits. Why care about you? You never did anything about it in the past. You obviously are too stupid or don’t care.
6. Do you really think that Nancy, Harry, Chris, Charlie, Barnie,

SEND THE MESSAGE– You’re FIRED.

IN 2010 YOU WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO GET RID OF THE SITTING CONGRESS:
Up to 1/3 OF THE SENATE, AND 100% OF THE HOUSE.

MAKE SURE YOU’RE STILL MAD IN NOVEMBER 2010 AND REMIND THEIR REPLACEMENTS NOT TO SCREW UP.
It is ok to forward this to your sphere of influence if you are finally tired of the abuse.
Maybe it’s time for the……..
Amendment 28

“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators or Representatives, and Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .”

Let’s get this passed around, folks – these people in Washington have brought this upon themselves!!! It’s time for retribution. Let’s take back America .

If you don’t forward this to all your friends you’re just part of the problem of national apathy.

Then along came Snopes to pith in my Wheaties. Wonder how many Obama WH parties they’ve been invited too?

Actually, there is a real 28th Amendment Movement, but Snopes forgot that part. Sounds like a great idea to me ! Let’s shutdown that Nancy Pelosi Open Bar once and for all 🙂 Oh, you didn’t hear about it? Here’s a snip:

Documents obtained under the Freedom of Information Act by Judicial Watch show that Pelosi has incurred expenses of $2.1 million for her use of Air Force jets the past two years. Then there’s the matter of the $101,000 tab taxpayers picked up over that period for “in-flight services,” including a selection of top-shelf booze.

One receipt for “in-flight services,” World Net Daily reports, showed a liquor purchase for one flight that included Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Creme, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewar’s scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniel’s whiskey and Corona beer.

Let them drink bottled water to wash down all that cake ! Oh wait, that’s us.

“Walk the Streets in Anger” by Anne Marie Harpen

From Ms. Harpen:

This song goes out to every patriot scared sick for our country and our kids’ and grandkids’ future. The tea party pictures were taken between March 15 2009 and September 12 2009 all throughout the country. The photo of Sean Hannity was from the Cincinnati Freedom Concert. The little boy in the picture lost his father in Iraq and his family was being honored there. I wrote this song in my sleep but wasn’t inspired to publish it until after being at the Freedom Concert at Kings Island, August 21, 2009 © 2010. FEEL FREE TO POST THIS VIDEO TO YOUR BLOG OR WEBSITE BUT PLEASE DON’T REPRODUCE MY MUSIC FOR ANY OTHER REASON WITHOUT MY PERMISSION If you like my song videos you can order my CD Walk the Streets In Anger here. http://www.harpensings.blogspot.com/

PUMA + Tea Party + Libertarians + Moderate Democrats =

ONE KICK ASS THIRD PARTY !

Wasn’t that fun ?

Since November 2008, I’ve been a part of all the post title because there’s no room for me anymore in the Obama Party (raaacissst terrorist sympathizer!) or a welcome into the Huckabee/Romney Party (home of the Creation Museum), so I’ve become an independent freethinking spirit touching base with everyone else. What a year!

I’m not a Democrat. I’m not a Republican. I’m an American.

Libertarians, Independents, Conservatives AND Dems, Oh My!

…..and PUMAs !

A few more thoughts from the 9-12 DC Rally….and I wasn’t the only PUMA representing! Hey, didn’t we start this? So, now that Old Glory, the Gadsdens and Culpeppers have been put away til the next big “can you hear us now” rally, I finally realized that I was a part of a much bigger political movement afterall……Swing Voters! Despite what the O’slobber media brushed us with, it was perhaps the most important political event I’ve attended in my life. It took a few days to sink in, but the numbers who showed up aren’t important, it was WHY they showed up.

From Reason.tv

Are the Tea Party protesters a small group of radical freakazoids or a large crew of taxpaying regular joes who are fed up with government spending, Democrats and Republicans, and business as usual?

Reason.tv fanned out through the crowd and the backstage of the September 12 Taxpayer March on Washington, the controversial anti-government protest that drew somewhere between 75,000 and 1 million people, according to press reports…..

I also found one of the most delightful trip reports from professional stand-up comedienne Traci Skene at Road Atlas Shrugged, lol, one of the Bus People! Enjoy the ride:

….I gave this is my long-winded way of pointing out to the New York Times that I paid my own way to the rally.

We were dropped of in DC’s Chinatown at 10:50 AM (or should I say we were ordered off the bus) so we had to walk 15 blocks to the rally. For a while, we feared we were the only ones who had showed up. Then we turned the corner…..

Complete awe…..one “kick-ass 4th of July Party”……

We stood there in complete awe… speechless for perhaps the first time in our lives, surrounded by folks who were laughing, singing and chanting, “USA! USA!” It seemed less like a political rally and more like a stroll through the Olympic Village.

…. “The happiest, most fun-loving “angry mob” i’ve ever been part of.”

Indeed, a “life altering moment”…and rising 🙂

The 9/12 rally was a life altering moment for many of the Libertarians, Independents and Conservatives who showed up. After years of being vilified by the press and ostracized by liberal friends, family and co-workers we now understand that there is strength in numbers. We’re not going away.

As I feel today, I will never, EVER, blindly follow another politician or bloviating pundit who tells me how to think and feel and like and hate! Dissent is STILL patriotic and one helluva party!

One more thing, the media may have pounced on the dozen or so “fringe” signs to “report” on to prove we’re “nutjobs”, but they seemed to have failed covering the “counter” protest by our Dem friends at Organizing Obots for America. Thank goodness for real citizen journalists:

Sophia Elena reporting from Washington D.C. at the March on Washington on September 13, 2009, an event promoted on Organizing for America’s website. A small group gathered at Upper Senate Park, and marched around the fountain. Time lapse footage of protesters marching around the fountain and footage from the wall of the landscaping illustrate the gathering of people who attended the event.

Til next time….party on!

My Great Big Fat 9-12 American Family Reunion, I was at Capitol Hill Woodstock ’09…

…..rallying around the flag Rally !

Shortly after I got home today, I dropped in on my friends at Stealth Fusion to leave a short trip report:

My thoughts….it wasn’t the numbers as much as who these people were and why they were there. I did the 2005 DC (very angry and Bush hating) war protest, and all together a different crowd. Oh, I never saw many minorities at that either, despite how the msm and lefty blogs paint those racist right wing extremists

The 9-12 crowd were so much more fun, energetic and just love this country so damn much. Especially at the Hyatt Regency bar *hic* with a group from Texas and a group from Long Island, it was more like a family reunion with the whole country!

The most important question, where are you from? Then you hug, then you thank each other for being there. You just felt the heart and soul of America, a very bonding experience.

I met people who were on buses for 16 hours, marched, then got back on those busses. They would do it again! And bringing more friends next time!

Favorite chant had to be “Oh-bama, Oh-bama, Hey, Hey, You Lie”

Also, “We own the Dome, we’re here to collect the rent” and “Can you hear us now”

National Park Service suggests this is the largest gathering ever for D.C….and the nicest, best behaved

I only saw two counter-protestors, matching young men on bikes wearing helmets and navy blue outfits with Obama-Biden Riders over the Obama symbol on their chest. I walked over to them with my little Culpepper flag and said “hi, good to see you here, I’m a Democrat too”, then I waved off They looked like Hitler Youth, but I was nice and held the thought.

I heard there was a team from ACORN heckling the crowd, but didn’t see them. I would have asked them if I could buy a house to start a “puppy mill”

I heard there were hundreds of solidarity protests around the country too? I’m off to find them, as a I know it’s well over 2 million if you count them.

And no, I’m not a Republican freeping right-wing nutjob extremist for having participated, or a DINO….. I’m an American

So much too share, so little in the (no surprise) MSM. Here’s the cook’s tour:

Conservative Woodstock Rocks the Capitol

912madmoney

I think this gathering should be appreciated as the extremely important historical event that it is. This is the first great conservative anti-statist manifestation in American history. The conservative movement, which developed in the post-WWII, Cold War environment has now fully matured into the most significant political movement of the 21st century. I believe that this day could be referred to in the not too distant future as the day that changed America. This was the day the great silent conservative majority finally found its voice.

912hellno

There were notable differences though, in the behavior of these attendees. Although the legend of Woodstock is that there was a friendly atmosphere of camaraderie, the truth is that most people were there for the drugs, sex and rock and roll. Today in D.C. there was a true kinship amongst these people based on shared values and intellectual understanding of what America is and how its future is imperiled by big radical government.

Lloyd Marcus brings it home:

And, if you’re still obsessed about “how many showed up”, go ahead, count ’em …. :)))

And, another great big fat shout out to Michelle Malkin and Hot Air.

…to be continued, I’m sure 🙂

Holy Hypocrisy Batman ! You won’t believe this….

Formerly arrested for disruption dissenter Carol Shea Porter and elected to Congress has town hall disrupter dissenter arrested for talking too loud. Oh, and he is a retired police officer…..great re-election strategy, eh? Oh watch….

Hot Air fills in the details.

Tea Party !

Geeesh. Attending Tea Parties does NOT make you a “racist right-wingnut”

It means you’ve been paying attention ! And you’re probably angry and tired of being called a RACIST !

….but it’s certainly turning my old liberal friends into “rabid left-wingnuts” !

For instance, Mean Janeane Garofalo and Mike “I hope Glenn Beck commits suicide” Malloy. What happened to my compassionate friends? No bleeding hearts here, they want to tear mine out and stomp on it. Is this how they see us?

Had enough? Then come up to speed by visiting this Stealth Fusion link which provides Glenn Beck’s show videos from last week and a transcript of all the questions he wants you to ask your representatives.

Allahpundit of Hot Air asks if “you’re in or out?” and muses if Beck could be tapping a possible third party leader……hmmmmmm?

And while we’re at it, where are my anti-war friends? Was that all about hating Bush afterall. It’s Obama’s “dumb” war now, guess it’s ok?

Make your voice count and make sure your questions are answered ! Dissent isn’t only for liberals !

Top 10 Reasons You Should Be Happy About The Glenn Beck Boycott !

Glenn Beck at San Antonio Tea Party

Glenn Beck at San Antonio Tea Party

As my friends on the libby left are just giddy over punishing Beck and Fox News by forcing sponsors to take their money elsewhere, William Jacobson at Legal Insurrection tells us why we should be happy…..

1. The boycott will fail, as do virtually all boycotts.

2. The failure of the boycott will be a huge victory for freedom of speech.

3. The failure of the boycott will diminish the power of the boycotters.

4. The diminished power of the boycotters will empower grassroots opposition to health care restructuring and cap-and-trade.

5. The boycott reveals once again that many liberals are hypocrites who only want freedom for their speech.

6.The boycott reveals that the left-wing blogosphere is afraid of other voices being heard.

7. The boycott reminds us that large corporations are spineless in the face of liberal pressure groups.

8. The boycott reminds us also that we should not confuse large corporations with free markets or free enterprise or freedom.

9. The boycott will tell us whether Fox News has a spine.

10.The boycott is a reflection that Democrats have few positive arguments in support of their agenda and need to create enemies.

And from the comments section, you learn these little nuggets:

It probably took Geico .0000001 seconds to boycott Glenn. Geico is a subsidiary of Bershire Hathaway, owned by Warren Buffet (right on their home page) And the owner of Progressive was right behind. His political contributions include Moveon.org, America Coming Together, and The Democratic party. No arm twisting there.

~and~

Color of Change was co-founded by Van Jones, Obama’s green jobs czar. This boycott comes not long after Beck did some unflattering pieces about Van Jones. Plus, Color of Change has publicly declared that the boycott is in response to Beck’s criticism of Obama.

A group co-founded by by a czar within the Obama Admin. is boycotting a critic of the Obama Admin.

Not very cricket.

Had enough? Can you hear the people sing ?!

I sure can 🙂 See you at the 9-12-09 March on Washington and Glenn Beck recently announced he will be there with his team to make sure our voices are indeed heard with our spirit and unity seen!
