Vernice Armour, American Hero: Black History Month isn’t color coded….

Inspired by The New Agenda to acknowledge Black History Month for Black Women’s achievements, it’s like Whoa!, why does awesomeness of women of color have anything to do with it? I would love this lady to be an inspiration to women of ALL colors! Meet Vernice:

Vernice Armour (born 1973) is a former Captain in the United States Marine Corps who was the first African-American female naval aviator in the Marine Corps and America’s first African American female combat pilot in the United States military.[1] She flew the AH-1W SuperCobra attack helicopter in the 2003 invasion of Iraq and eventually served two tours in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
